BRS Releases “Core Four”

Full Line, Text, Graphic Technical Guide Updates

Building Research Systems, Inc (BRS) has been committed for the last year to do a “blank page” update on the “Core Four” technology guides for our industry leading roofing systems on behalf of our Superior Seam Technology ™ (SST) license holders. The “Core Four” technical update consists of engineering revisions,  line text, graphics and incorporation of technical bulletins for of the four most central guides for each licensed roof system profile. The guides are the Product Order Procedure, Product Application, Product Installation, and generic Architectural Detail manuals specific to each profile. These updated guides with the most current technical data including load charts, roof system advancements, drawings, graphics, design innovations, and information are now available for downloading as noted in the January 2022 monthly blog from the BRS restricted licensee website portal. Each licensee will be able to download the generic versions of the updated “Core Four” technical guides directly into their company digital libraries for printing, distribution, and immediate use by their essential departments.

BRS works continuously to provide its license holders the most innovative and industry leading technology within the standing seam roofing system marketplace. BRS respectfully listens to all licensee input and feedback to assure the SST inspired roof systems continue to be the benchmark for the industry. Many other competitor roof systems have not been improved since their inception or experienced any innovational updates to their product offering thru the years. Whereas BRS conducts focused annual internal product/profile improvement reviews and gains important “real world” knowledge from the constant feedback our license holders provide in our pursuit to always remain the industry leader. This leadership commitment in recent years has spawned cutting-edge innovations such as the patented High-Capacity Starter/Rake plates, blank page fixed clip redesigns, wind clips, extended standoff clips along with many other advanced system components. These advancements in design and function assure all license holders they are offering and supplying the highest performing products in the industry for wind uplift, weatherability, air/water infiltration, longevity and overall, in place roof performance.

The continual roof system advancements require technical support materials and data updates for the SST license holders’ libraries, sales, marketing, field service, manufacturing, drafting, purchasing, and engineering departments. Many of the latest innovations and groundbreaking technology improvements have been relayed to our licensees in the form of technical bulletins in recent years. BRS has not conducted a “blank page” ground up review and update of our systems technical data guides in several years. Many new cutting-edge roof system advancements are only known through these individually released BRS product specific technical bulletins or blogs which may or may not make into all licensee essential departments. BRS recognized the need for a complete informational technology review and update on behalf of all our license holders.
