History

Building Research Systems, Inc (BRS)  is a product development company with extensive knowledge of the metal building industry, specializing in development of standing seam roofing systems and innovational products for the advancement of metal roofs. BRS was started in 1994 by Leo Neyer who previously worked for several metal building manufacturers including Butler Manufacturing Co, Stran Buildings, Star Manufacturing and Encon Consultants in their business group developing standing seam roofing systems and refining metal building products. He utilized his extensive 30 years of Metal Building industry experience of developing and selling building systems to create a unique business model to allow companies to sell and market their own fully tested standing seam roofing systems without the research or development costs normally associated with this endeavor.

The first industry leading product BRS developed was the 2” vertical standing seam pan panel PanelCraft 216/218 roof system, incorporating the BRS patented proprietary TripleLok® and QuadLok® side lap joinery seams. The use of trademarked industry leading Superior Seam Technology™-SST design seam knowledge including patented clips which outperformed existing metal roof systems in the industry at that time. BRS roofing systems are is still the highest performing wind uplift resistance, air and water infiltration products in the market. Shortly after the development of the PanelCraft  216/218 roof system. BRS developed the TS-324 roof system, a 24-inch wide 3” height trapezoidal roof system utilizing patented TripleLok®, QuadLok® and RollLok® joinery seams to assure these systems are the industry leader and benchmark all other metal standing seam products are striving to attain.
