Licensee Services
When you license one of our industry leading roof systems you are getting much more than a roof. You are getting ongoing “World Class” technical/sales support and services for the lifetime of the agreement.
- Installation Guide: BRS has developed installation guides for both patented panel profiles -Panel Craft 216/218 and TS324 that provides step by step panel and flashing installation specific to our roof systems. We extensively researched these panel specific details to assure our suggestions will assist in providing the best results from our roof systems in the field. These guides are fully customizable which allow changes to the documents involving any detail modifications including your logo you prefer.
- Product Application Guide: BRS has developed panel profile product guides which includes load span tables for proper design and clip selection (fixed and floating). This application guide provides guidance for the proper usage of the system. The document is editable for and changes or modifications as you see fit to make the systems truly your own.
- Technical Support: If you have any questions concerning roof applications or installations BRS will help you with the solution. This support includes field questions or challenges that may require a review by BRS engineering for possible project issue resolution.
- Certified Test Reports: BRS conducted many third-party tests on our roof systems including our products. As a Licensee you will have access to these reports as part of the license purchase. Post testing after initial licensing may be subject to an additional monetary fee to have access and/or test copy privileges.
- Testing Facility: We have our own testing lab in house to perform preliminary and exploratory tests such as ASTM E 1592 uplift or gravity loading and pull tests. All tests are conducted under the supervision and direction of our staff PE. Call us to discuss your testing needs. We also work closely with certified independent labs for ongoing testing as codes or needs of panel roof system innovations require it.
- Code Approval Assistance: BRS may be a good resource for informational or technical support when obtaining specified code approvals for difficult projects. We have been very successful in this area with satisfactory results with existing Licensees when requested to be a participant.
- Sales Assistance: BRS is willing to assist licensee sales departments with generic power points for both panel Craft216/218 and TS324 panel profiles and an overall “Why SSR” standing seam seminar. We know how to communicate with architects, engineers, and customers to prove that our systems are the right choice.
- Use of Trademark names: We provide all trademarks for our two roof systems, as well as our other products. This includes the overall branding trademark and logo use of “Superior Seam Technology™-SST” for marketing, packaging and product promotion.
- Clips & Accessories: BRS owns tooling to produce the patented numerous clips we developed for both roof systems. It’s a requirement of the licensee to purchase clips only from an approved manufacturing strategic partner. These clips have been tested to assure superior performance and are subject to ongoing quality control checks by BRS and UL facility inspections to assure strict adherence to the tested design specification . BRS has tooling in place to produce a line of fully developed accessories that have been designed specifically for our tested roof systems.
- New Improved Products: BRS has an active product development team that utilizes proprietary technology called Superior Seam Technology™-SST. We are constantly developing new products while improving existing designs to maintain our leadership position within the metal standing seam roofing industry. We openly take and solicit critical roof systems design feedback from all our licensees which often results in the creation products or improvements to fill unknown license holder’s needs.
- Product Consulting: Our Engineering, Technical and Sales personnel are available and capable to provide in-depth support to your detailers and engineers with unique product application situations at no cost to licensee.
- Quality Control Program: We offer a fee based quality control program design to fit your needs. We can arrange quality checks monthly or quarterly to verify that your panel is meeting design specifications. BRS offers this fee based in lab quality control check service for licensed panel profiles utilizing an optical comparator to assure the profiles are within design specifications. The fee-based Quality Control checks will have an in-depth written report identifying any issues with the profile. These noted areas of concern will allow the remedial corrective adjustments to be made by either the license holder maintenance group or their equipment manufacturer(if required). BRS has developed quality control production panel profile check gauges to assist with in plant design specification design adherence. We extended this quality control tool aid to the field with the development of the Module Clamp installation tool, This device was created to assist the installers with maintaining panel modularity on ultra -long panel runs with panel splices and/or projects utilizing the extended standoff clips allowing for thicker blanket insulation products to meet the ever increasing “Green Design” code requirements.
- Tooling Sign-Off Reviews: This is a fee based (expenses only with no personnel daily fee rate) review of the rolling mill tooling prior to shipping from the selected equipment manufacturer production location. BRS personnel will personally review the panel profile being produced to assure the product is being manufactured according to our strict design specifications. This service allows BRS to review the rollers and product for any inconsistencies or issues before the mill or tooling is sent to the license holder location. BRS will for the same expenses only fee will review the mill or new tooling during the installation at the licensee plant facility to assure the product profile upon delivery and install meets the strict specifications of design.
- Jobsite Visits: BRS will assist license holders on roof systems that may require our design experience to review and inspect problematic installed products to seek a cause and/or viable resolution satisfactory to all parties involved. This jobsite inspection service is a fee- based option (personnel daily rate plus expenses) for licensees to have problem installations examined by our personnel for possible remedial repair corrective guidance. Contact BRS to schedule a jobsite inspection and we will attempt to accommodate the requested date according to our travel calendar.
